It's Valentines Season In My Studio

I have resisted drawing the "gems" that have been popping up on the Zentangle facebook pages but having done one it seems I cannot stop.  So I am incorporating them in some Valentine Zentangles.

A Great Pairing.....Yoga and Zentangle

About a month ago I had the opportunity to teach the Zentangle method to a group of Yogis.  They are taking one night each week to explore a new relaxation or meditation method.  Twenty-six women, men and girls......it was fun.  And they all went home with "art"!

I held another Introduction to Zentangle class Friday in my studio.  What a good time and such pretty tiles-even the unfinished ones!

I was here - a graceful presence

I have spent a lot of time on the shores of Lake Michigan lately and am reminded to keep calm and be present.  I am remembering walking along the water's edge and coming across piles of rocks, deliberately placed and perfectly balanced.  There is a Japanese term for these piles and it is "Obos". Often only three rocks to say "I was here"  "I built this with my hands"

Just the basics, please

I decided to try joining the fun at I Am The Diva Weekly Challenge #230 but it was over this weekend and I am not finished!  It is called "ZenDivaDala" and was suggested by a guest blogger.  Though fun, and something different, I believe I will keep doing my thing which is original tiles.  I like the size and it seems just the right commitment for me.  So I set this aside and did this little tile.
